Dear Family,

I hope this message finds everyone well. After much discussion and careful consideration, the Planning Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s DWSS Family Reunion.,

This was not an easy choice. We know how much everyone looks forward to coming together, reconnecting, and celebrating our family’s legacy. However, due to circumstances that prevent us from moving forward as planned, we felt it was best to make this decision now so that everyone has clarity. As you are aware, the United States is at war with Iran, and the American people are suffering the consequences: increased gas prices, unsafe air travel, possible unsafe conditions in hotels and gathering of large crowds.

Please know that this decision was made with the entire family’s best interest at heart. The Planning Committee remain committed to keeping our family strong and connected, and we will soon begin exploring options for the 2027 DWSS Family Reunion, which will be held in South Carolina.

Thank you for your understanding, your patience, and your continued love and support. Our family bond remains unbroken, and we look forward to the next gathering.
